Who has a man-crush?
I do, I do!

This evening all responsible pursuits were set aside in favor of watching Oceans Eleven (the remake, not the original), and it proved thoroughly entertaining. It also sold me on the fact that while I certainly enjoy both Mr. Pitt and Mr. Clooney on their individual merits, the pair of them together onscreen fill me with squee!

#45: Flying Elephant

This isn't actually Odder than Artifice...but it is a cute flying elephant trying to catch a balanced breakfast...so can you really complain? I think this doodle belongs on the internet.

Would. You. Like. To. Play. A. Game?
Candy Brick - It's like Tetris, with bigger, candy-like blocks. Also, you play it upside down.

Bubble Cannon - You have a cannon. It shoots bubbles at other bubbles.

Super Stacker 2 - Stack blocks, circles, lines, and triangles in the order provided, and don't let them fall over!

Stickicide 3 - Do any of you remember stickdeath.com? Yeah, it's kind of like that, but a flash game instead of anims.

Clockwork Couture - is essentially animated paperdoll... but with a Steampunk theme.

Bacon Lettuce Tomato - Let a chance at a bacon-related game go by? No way? Build a BLT from flying ingredients: Bread, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and MORE BACON!!!

#44: Skircus

This started out as a weird little doodle and is now a weird little one panel comic. Joe is entirely responsible for the skircus...although I came up with that rather brilliant and witty name all on my own.

Manifests of Motherhood
I am a crafty person; I do not think this is really news to anybody... but it never really occurred to me what sort of impact my hobbies would have upon my children.

Today, it was made readily evident by The Tiny Emperor, who quite literally took it upon himself to drag out my sewing machine and demand that I make a belt for The Littlest Admiral. Roughly, I know that he made such a demand because I recently made a belt for him, woven on my loom.

My loom, however, is currently housing an alternate project, and therefore with the sewing machine being unpacked and poked at before my by inquisitive fingers, I made him a deal - if he would Stop Touching Without Asking, I'd sew him a bag.

This was accepted with great delight.

Up the stairs we thundered to Mommy's Cloth Stash, and dug through to pick out some surprisingly apt green linen leftover cloth to suit our need, and then I spent the afternoon and early evening working on making good on my end of the deal (his was softened, to let him push start and stop buttons), and in the process I learned two new things - flat-felled seams (the kind you find on jeans) and button holes.

Below is the end result.

The bag, complete with embroidered initials.

A closer shot, including the buttonhole of which I am so proud.

A shot to display one of the several places in which I did the flat-fell seaming.

Backshot of the bag.
