Zero's Friday Five
In just a few minutes, I'll be heading out to see Pirates At World's End. Yarrrrr. I seriously hope there's some ninjas in it, because I really feel that is what has been missing from the whole series. Hopefully, the conclusion to the trilogy will be well received unlike the many reviews of Spiderman 3 I read and agree with that suggested that particular film was a little over-stuffed and "corny"... even though I enjoyed it very much, it really wasn't the movie I was hoping for. So, in the spirit of trilogies, this week's Friday Five is all about things that happen in threes.
1. Celebrity Bucket Kicking - It's a cliche, but famous deaths always happen in threes. Personally, I'm still waiting on the holy trinity of celebrity deaths to happen, that being Carrot Top, Weird Al Yankovich, and George Clooney. My theory is that the reason celebrities die in threes, is because that's how they're organized in Hell. Sort of like a real life "No Exit". Now, imagine Top, Al, and Clooney in that play and tell me it doesn't make you giggle like a little girl. :)
2. Meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Screw Taco Bell and their capitalist "Fourthmeal" invention. The only people delving into that are fatties who enjoy eating the same exact food cut into different shapes. Mexican Pizza, Chalupa, Crunchwrap Supreme... all the same thing. Stick to three meals a day, and fill the void with beer and sex with strangers. You'll be better off for it in the long run.
3. The Cat - The Cat happens in threes. Be warned.
4. Dieting - All the best diets work in three steps. For Weight Watchers it's: count points, measure, eat. For the Atkins diet it's: Remove carbs, eat, heart attack. But, my personal favorite is the most popular around the world for teenage girls that look up to classy dames like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan: get drunk, flash your junk, purge. It can work for you guys too. Highly recommended and fun.
5. Weekends (occasionally) - This weekend is Memorial Day, and many of you have Monday off from work. So, what the hell are you doing inside, reading Zero's Friday Five?! Get out and enjoy it, you crazy people! You think 3 day weekends grow on trees?! Now go!
Go go go!
And while you're out there, don't forget you can save money by switching to Geico. It's so easy, even a Zung could do it. :)

The Sun
As if reflecting the lessened joy of Demeter At Persephone's descent into Hades, the sun shines less brightly through the winter, watery, lemonade light spilling across a glitteringly stark landscape.
But with spring's approach and the daughter's return, The light grows in fullness, yellowing thickly As a manmade banana creams spread liberally over increasingly bared skin And newly green flora, to burnish all with warming merriment.

Zero's Friday Five
Alrighty. This week will be the last in a long line of Friday Five games. I'm going to return to the traditional Five format after this, and probably stick with that at least until the end of the month. I say probably, because the Zero is a fickle thing, one that constantly changes his mind. Anywho, I hope this puzzle proves to be a little more difficult than the TWO I posted last week. Here you go:
1. Brick, NJ 2. Amherst, NY 3. Mission Viejo, CA 4. Newton, MA 5. Troy, MI
BONUS HINT: 6. Colonie, NY

Morning
Disarming day blossoms. Deep-rooted souls thieves warming garden, dew perfume; mistress's embrace of bejewled dragonflies, this sweet solace it's pure.

She's gone to Manchester
Househunting is fun...
Or... Perhaps...
So, we're looking at a place tomorrow and prolly a few more in the coming weeks. Sadly I'm spent for online listings and open bloody houses.
There's lots of things to consider in house shopping. What do we want right now, and what do we want in 10 years... And just what the hell do we want in 30 years?
The list of options is dizzying. Do you want a pool? Do you want appliances? Do you want to give your first born child as a downpayment?
Anyway, my brain is frazzled, so this week is a short one. Perhaps when you tune in next time I'll be finding out how many boxes it takes to hold all my stuff in!
Night all!

Zero's Friday Five Redux
The game was too easy this week, yes? Perhaps a slightly more advanced challenge is in order... keeping on the subject of classic video games, perhaps you can tell me what is significant about the following five:
1977 1982 1986 1989 1994

Time and Again
There was a time when I had time Free time, to myself, in my younger youth when I would repair from my house into the yard in the least amount of clothing before nude and bathe in the light. Deep in our summer bones We know of an ancient radiation of the heat that pours to the earth, and causes surfaces to waver in the distance. We renew.

Don't make me dance.
It's been a fun week. Ups and downs. i should know more in the coming days, and hopefully things will calm down by then.
I'm waffling between a real blog and a fluff blog. i wonder which one will win.
I'm watching Spaced, tho... So, it's likely to head to fluff.
So, here's a thought. Let's call this fluff and get it over with.
If you haven't been in chat lately, why not? Good times. Noodle salad.
Spaceman.
Watching skateboarding videos is just painful.
Pizza is good.
So is chocolate.
If we got a house, I get a dog.
Akira is good, but really f***ed up.
I seriously hate that VW is trying to sell themselves as rapper hip with this whole V-dub crap.
pron is fun.
I have never understood this line in Star Wars: "Only Imperial stormtroopers make blaster marks that precise" and then from the rest of the series they can't shoot for cr*p.
Duck season.
Making my DVD player region free is fun.
Things I have always wanted to learn: American Sign Language. Japanese. touch typing.

Good night all.

Title Me
With no little delight I leaned upon the dusty windowsill, breath obscuring the view by steaming the cold pane. Outside, the shill air, rain, odd sunlight around the clouds combine to a weird, underlit luminosity, assuring me of the kind of world in which salted roasted seeds dropped accidentally in a skipping spill into cement-surrounded cracks might, with such water and shine, Yield sunflowers.
