Zero's Friday Five
Devils caused Avalanche, fortunately we had Red Wings, just like the Devils, but they shot Lightning from their eyes.

Long weekends and colds.
Seems like most of the people I know are sick right now, including my oldest boy... It's kind of heart breaking as a father to see your kid sick... He's being a little trooper about it, but you can just tell he feels like crap. Also, he missed me today as I worked 8:30 am till 8 pm... So add into the sad no daddy and you have a pretty miserable kiddo. (But it's not as bad as last week, when he first came down with this plague, and peed on his special toy (A stuffed rabbit that Zung got him that he REFUSES to go to bed without.) as he was being given a bath before bed.. Oh, the sobbing! We tossed him into the washer and dryer and I brought him up at like 10:30 or 11 o'clock and took his highnesses temp and gave him the bunny, which he wrapped his little arms around and snuggled.

Kiddo number two is doing pretty well. So far he seems more resistant to the cold (perhaps he got his mothers immune system and not my crap model...) and he's getting bigger and has been a great kid as far as the basics of sleeping, pooping and eating.

Well, speaking of sleeping, I'm spent. It was a long day and it's going to be a long tomorrow. I hope you're all well, and that you have a KICKASS week!

Zero's Friday Five
It seems that last week's game was a pinch broken. That's my fault. And I have to apologize. I think I prefer the more abstract, obscure Friday Five games anyway. What about you guys? Do you dig the mathy brain teasers (when they're not busted) or the ones where you basically have to figure out what I was thinking at the time... sort of like scavenger hunts in my brain... like the Rolling Stone lyrics or Gradius ones? Let a guy know. Voice your opinion in the Friday Five: The Game thread in the main forum. This week, I'm going back to the abstract and simple. Give this Friday Five puzzle a twirl...

GALJ (H)

...and that's it. Five little letters of the alphabet. Can you crack the code?

Up to my elbows in puppets

Not much to report from Zungtown, just making new friends out of foam and fleece. When all my migrant fabric workers are ready I'll be putting them to work in the field to harvest the money that grows on trees.

I'm covered in green lint and cotton balls, now I must clean up the mess my puppets have made. They're such bad house guests.

Manic Monday!
After a ton of errands we settled into some WoW tonight. Bliss and I are nearly level 40 and will have some mounts! Woohoo!

In the big TKOP news, It's official! Zero is now a Co_Sysop here at the Kingdom! Please lavish praise upon him. (But not too much, we need to keep him modest!)

Tomorrow marks my first day back to work from my 2 week vacation for Bliss birthing our child. It's been a nice 2 weeks, but I'm kinda eager to get back into it, and see my friends and take care of my babies. (My servers are like kids...) Even tho my buddy at work has been taking good care of them in my absense I am sure.

So, it's off to bed... And then tomorrow I'll see ya in the IRC chat!

Zero's Friday Five
All right, the heck with it. I was going to do something simple this week, but then a little bird told me of a brain teaser so vile, so nefarious, that I had to share it with you. Good luck, suckers! :)

During a recent plane and train spotting contest, FIVE eager entrants were lined up ready to be tested on their spotting ability. They had each spotted a number of planes and a number of trains. From the clues below, can you determine what color jacket each was wearing, their position in line, their age and the number of trains and planes spotted?

1. Skeeve spotted 44 less trains than planes.
2. Muddseye was 36 years old.
3. The person on the far right was 8 years younger than Skeeve, and spotted 174 planes.
4. Wildfire was wearing a beige jacket and spotted 37 trains fewer than Skeeve.
5. The person who was wearing a green jacket, was 19 years younger than the person to his left.
6. Zung spotted 105 trains and 250 planes.
7. The person in the middle was 31 years old, was wearing a blue jacket and spotted 42 trains.
8. Ronin, who was on the far left, spotted 26 planes, and spotted 72 trains more than planes.
9. The person who was wearing a red jacket, was 4 years older than Muddseye and was not next to the person wearing a blue jacket.
10. The person who was next to the 31 year old but not next to the person who spotted 26 planes, was wearing a orange jacket, and spotted 45 trains.

Please note that although I've had a little fun and used the names of real TKOP denizens, that the people depicted in this puzzle are fictional and any likeness they should bear to real persons and their plane and train spotting habits are purely coincidental. Happy puzzle solving, folks. Feel free to post your answers in the Zero's Friday Five: The Game thread in the main forum. I will post the true answer this coming Thursday for your compare and contrast pleasure.

Lastly... HAPPY SAINT PADDY'S DAY!!!!

Monday, you are so fast...
Ok... I got nothing. So, gratuitus photo of my son will have to suffice.

And so... Goodnight.

Zero's Friday Five
This week I present you with Einstein's Riddle. The reason this fits under Zero's Friday Five is that to solve it, you'll need a chart with five rows and five columns. Enjoy!

The story behind Einstein's riddle is that Albert Einstein created it in the late 1800s, and claimed that 98% of the world population couldn't solve it. I am not sure of the true origin, but I have seen this one floating around the internet, and it is a good brain exercise. Here it is:

- In a street there are five houses, painted five different colors.

- In each house lives a person of different nationality

- These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

Einstein's riddle is: Who owns the fish?

Necessary clues:

1. The British man lives in a red house.
2. The Swedish man keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Danish man drinks tea.
4. The Green house is next to, and on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The Blends smoker lives next to the one who drinks water.

Congradulations, baby!
Jasper Alexander (Admiral(ret)) was born at 12:06 on 3/6/07. Both Mommy and baby are resting comfortably, and I'm going the hell to bed.

Thanks for the well wishes all. They are very appreciated. I'll try to reply back soon...

Skeeve called me a few minutes ago, and asked me to take care of his blog tonight. He's kind of busy, what with Bliss going into labor right now. They've very excited and Skeeve is hoping to fill us all in on the details as soon as he can.
