Set phasers on "hitch"
Tonight a certain Groom, Best man and groomsmen will be getting their final fitting for their tuxes. I don't know if the word "dapper", "suave" or "chic" comes to mind, but the image of myself and four familiar faces in similarly matching outfits is at the very least "frickin cool". I'd imagine that we look ready to start snapping our fingers and break out in harmonious acapella. I'd also imagine the employees at the tux place never tire of that hilarious observation.

It's just over a week away until the words "I do" slip out of the lips of the happy couple, and then we get the hell out of the church and party like it's 1999 (a very good year by the way). I cannot wait to celebrate the blessed union of two people who are close to my heart by getting completely shitfaced and embarrassing myself on the dance floor. I love you crazy kids!

I myself am fated (a nice word) to be filing joint tax returns at some point in the future (the date keeps getting further away). But it is something I am actually looking forward to. While the freedom and extra money in your wallet are generous benefits in the life of the bachelor, that life comes in as a close second to being with the one you love forever. When you're married, you always have a date for a Saturday night, even if it's a wild evening of balancing the checkbook and watching "Groundhog day" on cable again for the 100th time. And when you're having that intimate moment on the couch, you can be assured that the risk of never seeing her again will never be jeopardized by something as trivial as letting out a juicy fart. You've got her number, and she'll still be waking up next to you in the morning. Why would anyone want to remain a bachelor?

But to defend the life of the bachelor, he is a lucky fellow who can get away with things a married man never should. Which is why it's traditional to have a bachelor party at some point before the wedding (sometimes even the night before). This other blessed event is a rockin night of relaxation, sipping tea, and watching "funny girl". And if you believe that, I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. No, really I do.

And then there was one...
So, I don't know exactly what happened to Zung on Friday/Saturday, but the pressure's on me to make it all feel better.

I've been master of the "No time" now rant for the last several months, so today I feel I owe it to everyone to give you some more substantial and toothsome rantage here.

Problem is... I'm not really ranty.

I mean I know I could come up with some hyped up anger about how people drive or think or vote, but that's really nothing. And, you've heard it all before.

I'm a bit too happy.

What's there to be pissed off about in my world right now, except for the things that everyone can say is an issue... And even some of that is meaningless... You just try complaining that your office is too small to someone who doesn't have an office.

So, the good things in my life outweigh the bad, which can be traumatic...
Especially when you're supposed to find something once a week to complain about and politics and current events are only entertaining for just so long...

So, I'll shift gears a bit and tell you about the good things in my life and bore you with the tiny details of my day to day life...

The wedding is less than 2 weeks away... I have the time off the new job (Paid no less) and we're going on a honeymoon.

I'm looking at a new car so that I have a reliable car to drive to work in everyday, and to help rebuild my credit...

My immediate family seems healthy and reasonably well.

I have music and art and computers to play with. I have wonderful friends and family, as well as the respect and love of my future inlaws...

I have this board back again, and a connection to many of the people I met and had fun with back in the day.

So, my rant has simply become a praise... And I hpe that you are all well, and I send positive enregy your way...

This week...

The open blogging idea:
I have had a few people asking me in an email if we were going to have other people (and they offered thier own services) helping out on the blog. It's an idea I am actually considering.

So, I'm going to post a question in the forum, and if you feel like you might have blogging style we'll give you a try!

A long weekend
I hope you enjoy your weekend, be it 2 day or 3 (If you're lucky enough to get Labor day off this Monday). I'll be spending mine moving in new couches and doing some more painting.

I don't have much to say at the moment, I'm a bit overwhelmed with things, and I expect to be for sometime.

I think I'll end this before I type something too goofy.

Ducks and Beavers!
Damn. Too late.
